Welcome to KAI!

Please read these important notes before you start.

This is not a test; NOT how well you do but what do you PREFER to do.

As a measure of preferred style this measure has NO right or wrong answers.

The measure will give an indication of your preferred way of approaching the various situations that you may face day to day.

When we prefer a behaviour described by any of the scale items then all of us find it easier to do, particularly over the long term. Such items should be marked towards the easy end of the scale.

If we do not prefer a behaviour described by any of the scale items then we all find it harder to do, particularly over the long term. Such items should be marked towards the hard end of the scale.

We all find many items easier and many harder. Which ones are easier and which are harder is what makes us different and interesting.

For example: assume I am a very impatient person, but my wife is very patient.

When we complete the KAI Inventory, for the first item my wife will score it 'easy' or even 'very easy' whereas I will score it 'hard' or even 'very hard'. Make use of the full range of the scale, to be accurate.

Marking nearly all items down one side or down the middle will not give a useful interpretation. You want to know about your PREFERRED style not what you can do when asked. The information you give is confidential and feedback will be given to you personally for your use.
